摘要: In this study, the fabrication of A1-4wt% Mg-graphite and/or silicon carbide (SiC) particulate composites is described. Composites A1-4 wt% Mg alloy with different volume percentage values graphite SiC particles are prepared using compocasting technique. technique, added into a semi-solid slurry during stirring melt. A pitched blade stirrer used to stir reinforcement in slurry. The then poured metallic mold obtain cast composites. effect addition and porosity content on Rockwell hardness machinability studied present work. results show that porosities increase while decreases particles. But found Surface roughness improves composite, poor surface finish obtained when added.
