Dynamic Bending Strains in Planar Trusses with Pinned or Rigid Joints

摘要: The method of reverberation ray matrix is applied to analyze the dynamic behavior structural members in trusses with pinned joints subjected suddenly force. results are compared those planar rigid joints. Detailed calculations made two types trusses, a small laboratory model slender aluminum bars, and hypothetical real size Pratt truss steel. It found that maximum bending strains both very large, comparable axial same member. magnitudes differs little from for trusses. Such large strain structure member, which contradictory static truss, could be caused by inertial force mass truss.
