The new were based on "solution-focused" approaches to interviewing and counseling. Process evaluations conducted program staff revealed that solution-focused provided effective, client-centered, respectful ways discussing clients. Solution-focused also positively impacted clients' sense self-efficacy regarding reduction. benefits using as an alternative approach are discussed.
