摘要: Abstract Cancer researchers need to be able organize and report theirresults in a way that others can find, build upon, relate thespecific clinical conditions of individual patients. NCI Thesau-rus ™ is description logic terminology based on current sciencethat helps individuals software applications connect or-ganize the results cancer research, e.g., by disease under-lying biology. Currently containing some 34,000 concepts –covering chemicals, drugs other therapies, diseases, genesand gene products, anatomy, organisms, animal models, tech-niques, biologic processes, administrative categories – NCIThesaurus serves Web from terminologyserver. As scalable, formal terminology, deployed Thesau-rus, associated interfaces, are model forsome standards required for NHII (National Health In-formation Infrastructure) Semantic Web.
