摘要: Domestication is a process in which animals become adapted to life among humans by means of selection. A reduced fear probably one the first aims selection, intentionally or unintentionally. Animals that have undergone domestication different appearance than wild (domestic phenotype) and behave way towards humans. In this study I looked at foraging explorative behaviours an unselected parental generation red junglefowl their offspring. The were bred three lines, high line, with birds displaying strong humans, intermediate showing modest fear, low performing more tame behaviour presented feeding alternatives, familiar chicken food, meal worms camouflaged wood shavings just shavings. counted number pecks food options, changes between sites how many bird visited. results show females both generations males, pecking cups hidden whereas males pecked containing food. Females also moved around arena. Results from selected significant differences selection lines females, groups being most explorative.
