摘要: Aim:This pilot study explored the feasibility and acceptability of a stage-tailored motivational interviewing intervention with education that focuses on changes in end-of-life (EOL) communication, completion advance directives (ADs), readiness for care planning (ACP).Methods:One group pretest–posttest design was implemented 30 low-income older adults.Results:This showed its enhancing ACP. Action ACP—that is, identifying proxy decision making documenting EOL treatment preference an AD—increased significantly by 23.3% (n = 7). The participants’ ACP, knowledge, self-efficacy, positive attitudes, perceived importance ACP increased after intervention.Conclusion:Health professionals service providers who interact adults should tailor dialogues accordance individuals’ motivation.
