摘要: This article presents a typology of designs for social research in the built environment. Currently there is no such typology, while notion ‘research design’ less known environment compared to sciences. Twenty-five subtypes are identified and clustered into 10 prototypical designs, namely: (1) surveys, (2) experiments, (3) modelling, simulation, mapping visualisation, (4) textual narrative studies, (5) field (6) case (7) intervention research, (8) evaluation (9) participatory action (10) meta-research. After determining extent which these feature actual classified according six design considerations, including – context, aim purpose, methodological paradigm approach, source data. The contributes towards greater clarity terms design’, improved teaching methodology coherence projects.
