摘要: Agrarian history and local cultural landscape dynamics have been documented through pollen analysis of a peat core within the hamlet Yttra Berg, which is situated in an upland area southwest Sweden. The sequence covers last 5,000 years, from Neolithic to modern time. Wood pasturing started at 2000 b.c., followed by grazing small-scale cultivation with 500 year cycles 650 permanent fields agriculture a.d. 1150. was abandoned during period 1350–1550. Three succession related land-use identified for b.c. 1550. Correlation frequent clearance cairns discussed. Recessions agriculture/settlement late Middle Ages time are documented. Pollen data indicate increased plant diversity since Neolithic, closely linked openness agrarian landscape. These results important restoration.
