摘要: In order to evaluate seasonal and tidal influence on the variability of dissolved nitrous oxide (N 2 O) in Tagus estuary, Portugal, water sampling was carried out along salinity gradient (May November 2006) during several cycles (February April 2007) at a fixed site. N O other relevant environmental parameters, temperature, salinity, oxygen inorganic nitrogen forms (nitrate, nitrite ammonium) were measured. Dissolved concentrations showed strong variability, with highest values occurring February 2007 (13.7 nM, spring tide) 2006 (18.4 upper estuary), apparently related major river discharge. The existence sources noticed middle estuary. During tide, input from external may be augmented by column nitrification, making this process contributor enhancement concentration Estimated air-sea fluxes atmosphere reached maximum value ~10.4 μmol m -2 d -1 tide May lower (left bank) Although estuary behaves predominantly as source atmospheric O, it appears weaker than other, more eutrophic estuaries.
