摘要: Summary Objectives/Hypothesis The purpose of this study was to compare microphones different directionality, transducer type, and cost, with attention their effects on acoustical measurements period perturbation, amplitude noise using synthesized sustained vowel samples. Study Design This a repeated measures design. Method Synthesized stimuli (with known acoustic characteristics systematic changes in jitter, shimmer, noise-to-harmonics ratio) were recorded by variety dynamic condenser microphones. Files then analyzed for mean fundamental frequency (f o ), f standard deviation, absolute shimmer dB, peak-to-peak variation, ratio. Acoustical following recording compared the synthesized, before recording. Results Although informal analyses showed some differences among microphones, variance that type microphone is significant predictor, t -tests revealed none generated means measures. Conclusion In sample, cost did not have effect validity
