摘要: A theoretical model for the Volmer-Weber growth of three-dimensional metal islands is proposed, with a dipolar island edge-edge interaction. The existence such an edge effect makes shape dependent on size. Furthermore, it induces stable size against coarsening, leading to self-assembled uniform dependence total film coverage shown be different nonstrained versus strained islands, in regime strong island-island
