摘要: Mounting evidence demonstrates that the formation of new blood vessels, termed angiogenesis, plays critical roles in human disease development and progression. Based on these findings, there has been a tremendous effort to investigate molecular mechanisms drive vessel growth adult tissues. Compared physiological inflammation is often accompanied with pathological angiogenesis underlying causes many diseases such as cancer, arthritis, atherosclerosis, others. Inflammation induces reciprocally, facilitate inflammation. A study interaction between will enhance our understanding diseases. It may generate novel approaches for therapy. Tie2 was recently identified receptor tyrosine kinase expressed principally vascular endothelium, making it an attractive target angiogenic This review discusses regulation its angiopoietin ligand family inflammation-associated focusing atherosclerosis. The complexity context-dependent angiopoietin/Tie2 signaling requires further studies.
