摘要: The presence of conspecifics is an indicator good habitat for a number songbird species; cue positively associated with territory selection. Thus, conspecific playback may be cost-effective tool attracting songbirds to particular, preselected sites high-quality habitat. Previous studies have used encourage the establishment single however, few researched potential simultaneous attraction multiple species. Furthermore, empirical on effect song nonfocal species are sparse. We investigated whether 6 migratory more likely establish nesting territories in response multispecies playback. To evaluate greater community, we assessed responses 22 Three focal increased their use areas near speakers, and none became less common. However, several were sites. Phylogenetic comparison revealed that closely related those most affected. Our results suggest can attract simultaneously, but its impact should considered before implementation.
