摘要: With the explosive growth of video applications over Internet, many approaches have been proposed to stream effectively packet switched, best-effort networks. A number these use techniques from source and channel coding, or implement transport protocols, modify system architectures in order deal with delay, loss, time-varying nature Internet. In this paper, we propose a framework for streaming multiple senders simultaneously single receiver. The main motivation doing so is exploit path diversity achieve higher throughput, increase tolerance loss delay due network congestion. framework, receiver-driven protocol coordinate simultaneous transmissions senders. Our employs two algorithms: rate allocation partition. algorithm determines sending each sender minimize while partition minimizes probability packets arriving late. Using NS actual Internet experiments, demonstrate effectiveness our distributed terms overall rate, compare its performance against na*ve protocol.
