摘要: Abstract We demonstrate shape deformations of multicomponent vesicles from an experimental point view. Phase separation causes a line tension at the domain boundary, local bending modulus, and spontaneous curvature on vesicles, which leads to unique deformation pathways. Especially, binary composed lipids having different curvatures show functional deformations, such as adhesion, pore formation, lipid sorting. These observations provide physical basis for in cellular membranes.
