摘要: Seventeen New Zealand isolates of equine herpesvirus 5 (EHV-5) were compared to the Australian prototype strain. PCR primers designed amplify EHV-5 glycoprotein B (gB) gene, and Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) was used detect differences between cloned products. from different horses showed a high degree heterogeneity. However, individual remained homogeneous when examined over period time or isolated sites. A single gB RFLP profile detected in each horse but one. Two possibly three genotypes cultures inoculated with nasal swab this horse. The heterogeneity observed suggests that use may provide useful epidemiological approach gain more knowledge about biology EHV-5.
