摘要: Abstract Objectives To determine if static balance, dynamic ankle range of motion, body mass index (BMI), or history an sprain were associated with injuries within male and female collegiate athletes. Design Prospective cohort. Methods Three hundred eighty-four (age = 19.79 ± 1.80 years, height = 178.02 ± 10.39 cm, mass = 85.71 ± 17.59 kg) one sixty seven (age = 19.80 ± 1.52 height = 165.61 ± 7.08 cm, mass = 66.16 ± 10.53 kg) athletes involved in a variety sports at NCAA Division II NAIA institution participated. Baseline measures the Y-Balance (YBT), modified Balance Error Scoring System (mBESS), weight-bearing lunge test (WBLT), BMI, recorded. Participants followed prospectively for two years incidence injury was documented. The average WBLT, mBESS, YBT used analysis. Male participants analyzed separately. Mann–Whitney U tests utilized to identify variables which may be significantly logistic regression Results A total 59 (38 males 21 females) individuals sustained during follow up period. binary revealed BMI (Nagelkerke R2 = 0.069; X2 = 12.89; p Conclusions greater lesser anterior reach risk sustaining injury.
