摘要: Calcium chloride salt is the principle ingredient of many commercially available deicers. melts snow and ice by its osmotic action. We present a case skin soft tissue necrosis associated with use calcium chloride-containing deicer. Although known to produce if it extravasates during intravenous administration, sloughing has rarely been described after topical exposure this salt. likely produces injury from heat liberated mixing water (exothermic reaction) direct deposits in (calcinosis cutis) tissue.
