摘要: This study was undertaken to investigate whether sedimentary rocks can retain directions of magnetization through long intervals geologic time. The method investigation is observe the angular relations residual bedding in deformed structures, or beds that were laid down a random manner. Systematic relationships found indicate direction certain selected remains unchanged for at least 200 million years.
