摘要: It is well recognized that in heart tissue, adenine nucleotides and their degradation products are compartmentalized [1–4]. Some years ago, it was demonstrated our laboratory [5] under normoxic conditions, isolated perfused guinea pig hearts prelabeled with 14C-adenosine or 14C-adenine continuously released various dephosphorylated nucleotide (adenosine, inosine, hypoxanthine), the specific activities of which exceeded by far precursor nucleotides. However, after a brief period ischemia, compounds became considerably reduced approached myocardial substances. These further observations were interpreted to indicate compartmentation, particularly adenosine. The question remained unanswered, however, whether compartmentation these substances subcellular phenomenon pertaining cardiomyocytes different cellular compartments involved.
