摘要: The nematic liquid crystal phase is a of matter in which the particles have preferred orientational direction, as opposed to phase, with no and solid an ordered lattice structure. In aggregated dye, or chromonic, crystal, molecules come together aggregates, these aggregates form crystal. Aggregated dyes that crystals been known for some time, but few fundamental measurements taken prior this research. Unlike most crystals, dye are water-soluble, opening door applications fields biology medicine. order move ahead explorations general understanding chromonic more must be about properties phase; thus, research focuses on one aqueous Sunset Yellow FCF. Phase diagram measurements, birefringence parameter were obtained Yellow. A model aggregation consistent both results suggested nitrogen-nitrogen double bonds molecule perpendicular long axis aggregate.
