摘要: Oil and gas reservoirs can cause increased attenuation of seismic waves, which be revealed by time-frequency analysis for direct detection hydrocarbons. In this paper, a new method applying the empirical wavelet transform (EWT) in association with synchroextracting (SET), named EWT-SET, is proposed as an improved hydrocarbon detection. The SET novel considered post-processing procedure short-time Fourier improve energy concentration representation retaining only information most related to signal time-varying features. Given potential limitations broadband nonstationary signals, using EWT-SET applies after EWT decomposition, not effectively extracts features signals but also improves performance concentrating instantaneous energy. preliminary model tests demonstrate that depict location extent anomalies hydrocarbons changing thicknesses gas-bearing layer. Application field data further confirms capacity presented method. Thus, shows significant application prospects promotion value
