摘要: Epon embedded sections of large cell carcinoma the lung obtained from 26 patients were examined by light and electron microscopy. On an ultrastructural basis this was subclassified into four types: squamous, adenosquamous, adenocarcinomatous, giant types. The regarded as a special type squamous or undifferentiated carcinoma. Transition between each these types clearly demonstrated. Follow-up study revealed that close correlation existed prognosis patients, showing better adenosquamous adenocarcinomatous exhibiting equally poor prognoses. invariably pursued fulminant course. It suggested might represent different stages directions differentiation cancer cells originating same ancestry. authors' view favors Y construct theory concerning histogenetic pedigree pulmonary
