摘要: This chapter focuses on a deep description of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) expression in circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and its main role cancer progression, genetic changes related to metastasis , resistance treatment. The aberrant behavior is caused by mutations altered patterns gene expression. These can be responsible for an increase cell motility but also ability CTCs survival different microenvironments, as well developing therapy-resistant clones. Finally, acquire invade distant organs, where metastatic foci develop.
