摘要: The growing effort to design new sustainable synthetic methodologies, based on readily available and environmentally friendly transition metals, has boosted research iron complexes. This review article focuses C-C-bond-forming reactions occurring at bridging ligands in diiron complexes, aimed evidencing distinctive aspects advantages associated with the presence of two adjacent centres. A number diiron-mediated reported literature, including nucleophilic electrophilic additions insertion cycloaddition reactions, have been accumulated over years, which, together more recent developments, indicate that complexes might provide promising alternatives precious metals challenging field metal-promoted C-C bond formation.
