The impact of type D personality on self-care of patients with type 2 diabetes: the mediating role of coping strategies.

摘要: As a chronic disease, Diabetes requires special self-care behaviors until the end of life. Psychological factors play an important role in following plans among patients with diabetes. The present study was designed to examine relationship between type D personality and mediating coping strategies 2 This cross-sectional carried out on sample 361 diabetes from Ale-Ebrahim Charity Center Isfahan, Iran. Type personality, were measured by validated questionnaires. data analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). results indicated that affects indirectly via emotion-oriented coping. Problem avoidant oriented did not significantly mediate effect self-care. In general, assessing psychological background (such as traits strategies) can facilitate treatment means enhancement.
