Faunal biodiversity research in the Republic of Georgia: a short review of trends, gaps, and needs in the Caucasus biodiversity hotspot

摘要: We evaluated progress towards animal biodiversity research in Georgia, a key area the Caucasus hotspot. By reviewing recently (1990–2018) published articles all areas of diversity research, we unmasked trends inventory, ecological and biogeographical studies, conservation issues Georgia. concluded that species inventory Georgia has significantly increased during last ten years, however rate extent investigation is far from satisfactory.
