摘要: Background Intimate partner violence (IPV) is frequently experienced by women of low socioeconomic status in India. It a human rights violation and associated with negative effects on physical mental well-being, underscoring the need for effective prevention strategies. Objective This study aimed to develop dyadic intervention primary IPV among newly married couples residing slum communities Methods The was developed using community-based, mixed-methods design rooted couple-interdependence theory guided mapping (IM) framework. used six critical IM steps inform content delivery intervention: (1) needs assessment, (2) preparation matrices change objectives, (3) selection theory-based methods practical applications, (4) production components materials, (5) adoption implementation, (6) evaluation planning. Results resulting Ghya Bharari Ekatra (Take Flight Together) intended be delivered 6 weekly sessions trained pair male female lay community educators groups 3 5 which they reside. uses games, discussions, self-reflections, skill-building exercises cover following topics: enhancing relationship quality time, self-esteem resilience, communication conflict management, goal setting sexual health reproductive knowledge, redefining challenging norms surrounding occurrence. formative work protocol, including module duration timing (2-hour convenience participants), ordering modules (based potential level interest sensitivity topics), (ie, informed scripts role plays films), interactive activities), interventionists capacity connect participants) venue (community-based, convenient, safe spaces). piloted between January May 2018, presently underway. Conclusions evidence-based, grounded intervention-mapping, iteratively refined community-based participatory research approach, suggesting it has great an acceptable solution preventing couples.
