摘要: One beguiling alternative to antibiotics for treating multi-drug resistant infections are Bdellovibrio-and-like-organisms (BALOs), predatory bacteria known attack human pathogens. Consequently, in this study, the responses from four cell lines (three and one mouse) were characterized during an exposure different bacteria, Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus HD100, Bacteriovorus BY1 Bacteriovorax stolpii EB1. TNF-α levels induced Raw 264.7 mouse macrophage cultures with each predator, but paled comparison those obtained E. coli. This was true even though latter strain added at 11.1-fold lower concentration (p < 0.01). Likewise, coli led a significant (54%) loss murine viability while strains had no impact. Tests various epithelial cells, including NuLi-1 airway, Caco2, HT29 T84 colorectal gave similar results, inducing IL-8 production. The viabilities of Caco-2 cells slightly reduced (8%) when exposed predators, remained steady. In cases did induce actin rearrangement. These results clearly demonstrate gentle natures their impacts on cells.
