摘要: Abstract Background Similar to disclosure rates, the timing of may also vary among sexual abuse (SA) victims. While some victims immediately disclose SA, others hide it until later in their adult lives. Objective The main aims this study were not only compare perceived social support levels SA who disclosed versus those delayed doing so, but evaluate reactions these reports. Methods This comprised 116 are aged between 15 and 18. Perceived Social Support Scale was administered, independent samples t-test analysis chi-square test conducted for data analysis. Results We found no significant difference terms from families surrounding community. However, first family members have higher than disclosing other people. most common reason a fear creating domestic problems. In addition, experienced negative others. reactions, blamed labeled. Conclusions findings guide psychosocial interventions. Therefore, professionals working with children should interact community at large encourage adolescent approach suitable way following disclosure.
