摘要: Hydrogen-bonded clusters of methyl glycolate and α-hydroxyisobutyrate are investigated by ragout-jet FTIR-spectroscopy to elucidate the influence α-C hydrogens on unusual aggregation α-hydroxy esters. Highly structured OH-stretching spectra, stagnation pressure studies, argon coating experiments show that two enable formation small oligomers such as trimers tetramers, whereas lack stops selective beyond dimers. Methyl lactate with a single chiral hydrogen is suggested be intermediate in its clustering behavior, homochiral preference for strong heterochiral tetramers.
