摘要: Hepatic encephalopathy (HE) is a major complication that develops in some form and at stage majority of patients with liver cirrhosis. Overt HE occurs approximately 30-45% cirrhotic patients. Minimal (MHE), the mildest HE, characterized by subtle motor cognitive deficits impairs health-related quality life. The Indian National Association for Study Liver (INASL) set up Working Party on MHE 2008 mandate to develop consensus guidelines various aspects relevant clinical practice. Questions related definition MHE, its prevalence, diagnosis, characteristics, pathogenesis, natural history treatment were addressed members Party.
