摘要: This paper deals with the acquisition of subjects in Spanish and Catalan. The zero-subject parameter as proposed generative grammar allows to classify languages into two types: those which subject can be omitted it not. first works dealing this argued either that children went through a phase they only used one options then rearranged their use (Hyams 1986), or else, zero-subjects were due original absence functional categories (Radford 1990). Rizzi (1994) showed later certain specific characteristics children's zero-subjects, while Valian (1990, 1994) defended initial adult grammars quite agreement. In we try show case Catalan there is agreement between grammars. working hypothesis was: given speaking know from omitted, will expect: a) both zero explicit appear since beginning; b) pronominal not increase importantly. Those predictions checked against data provided by more than four thousand spontaneous oral utterances six monolingual (Catalan Spanish) aged 1,6 2,6. Data analysed syntactic (development subjects, predicate agreement, etc.) semantic point view (contextual adequacy, different types verbs, etc.). results confirm certainly have knowledge syntax subject.
