摘要: Abstract The aliphatic hydrocarbon fractions of sixty oils from the San Jorges Basin, Argentina have been analysed by computerized-gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. initial aim this study was correlation using sterane and triterpane biomarkers. could be divided into four groups which were distinguished relative proportions regular to demethylated hopanes. Although it has previously suggested that hopanes found in resulted biotransformation reservoir, basin possibility these compounds originated directly source beds cannot entirely eliminated since do not appear extensively biodegraded on basis their distributions. An alternative theory for distributions observed oils, is initially biodegradation reservoir followed addition non-degraded oil produce a mixture degraded oil.
