摘要: SUMMARY Morphological features of the mid-palatal suture were studied in human foetuses from 4 to 9 months intra-uterine life. The divided into three age groups, GI (16‐23 weeks), GII (24‐31 weeks) and GIII (32‐39 weeks). is rectilineal form with a wide space between palatal processes maxilla. has sinuous nature due growth bone crossing mid-line. A zone cellular proliferation observed narrows foetuses. imbricating caused by adjacent suture. Sharpey’s fibres, emerging processes, run median region are onwards. collagen fibres orientated transversely under oral epithelium exhibit regular meshwork predominance sagittal These obliquely at junction nasal septum.
