摘要: Summary This paper discusses generalizations of the affected-sib-pair method. First, requirement that sib identity-by-descent relations be known unambiguously is relaxed by substituting identity-by-state relations. This permits affected sibs to used even when their parents are unavailable for typing. In limit an infinite number marker alleles each infinitesimal population frequency, coincide with usual Second, a weighted pairs test statistic proposed covers sets size greater than two. These make method more powerful technique detecting departures from independent segregation disease and phenotypes. A sample calculation suggests such departure tuberculoid leprosy HLAD locus.
