摘要: Cranial subdural empyema is a purulent collection developing between the dura mater and arachnoid membrane. A large range of pathogens may be responsible for infection, their successful culture solution to optimizing medical section management. The occurrence associated meningitis not rare. should always considered in any patient who presents with meningeal signs focal neurologic deficit. Biologic parameters elevated but are nonspecific. Imaging studies (especially MRI) important tools initial diagnosis (identifying an extra-axial crescent-shaped collection) as well monitoring treatment results. antibiotic regimen classically similar cerebral abscess. Subdural represents surgical emergency, so craniotomy rapid evacuation obligatory soon it diagnosed. Eradication primary infected foci missed. more fulminant fatal than epidural Persistent seizures residual hemiparesis most sequelae. Mortality result from venous infarction brain.
