摘要: Molten salts can provide a high-temperature and oxygen-water-free environment, the electrochemical polarization is able to reduce oxide scale on surface of Ti Ni particles in molten and, thereby, enhance sintering accelerating atom diffusion between Ni. Thus, an electro-assisted powder metallurgical (EPM) approach was developed prepare porous NiTi from metal powders salts, where pellet cathode made mixture electrochemically polarized facilitate generation at temperature lower than 1000 °C. The electrolytic product obtained under cell voltage 3 V for 12 hours nearly pure with tiny amount undesired Ni3Ti NiTi2 phases. Overall, EPM route could be straightforward general way Ti-alloys implants other applications.
