摘要: Import o f viral DNA into the nucleus is essential for successful replication tumour viruses. To achieve this goal, viruses have adapted strategies to traverse barriers between plasma membrane and a host cell. Two viruses, simian virus 40 adenovirus, nuclear-entry step in slightly different ways. SV40 enters through nuclear pore complexes (NPCs) apparently intact virions. By contrast, adenovirus particles dissociate near NPC before imported nucleus. In both cases, karyophilic protein components appear mediate entry genomes. article, we discuss how an understanding cell biology can help us understand process transport.
