摘要: A new uniaxial model for a gas loaded variable conductance heat pipe (VCHP) is developed. This takes into account the diffusion at vapour-gas interface as well inertial effects of moving vapour. Only steady-state conditions are considered. The generally accepted Edwards /Marcus will be shown to first order approximation this model. Also criterion derived identify under which Edwards/Marcus model- feasible. Numerical examples show that there substantial discrepancies between results and present high values equivalent radial thermal conductivity condenser wall wick operating temperatures not too far from freezing point working fluid.
