摘要: Abstract Femora from 9-day old chick embryos were cultivated in vitro for 2 days with [4- 14 C]cortisol. [ C]Tetrahydrocortisol was isolated as a major metabolite the cultured bone tissue, and also culture medium identified by thin-layer paper chromatography, chemical transformations crystallization studies. C]Dihydrocortisol, precursor of tetrahdyrocortisol, found minor amounts tentatively its chromatographic behaviour. On other hand, C]allotetrahydrocortisol not any significant amount. Th e contained chick-embryo extracts nutrient tissue but showed, itself, no activity conversion C]cortisol either to C]tetrahydrocortisol or C]dihydrocortisol. C]Cortisol converted incubation homogenates epiphyses long bones embryos. These results suggest that embryonic tissues possess enzyme active catabolism adrenocortical hormone.
