摘要: Effects of Chloramphenicol (CAP) on the maize (Zea mays) seedlings were investigated using some physiological indexes like pigmentation, proline accumulation and fast rise chlorophyll a fluorescence. This study shows that synthesis seedling is stimulated by CAP at 50 100 mg/L but inhibited 250 mg/L. Proline content was slightly altered under stress increased markedly CAP, suggesting cell membrane structure only affected in presence high level CAP. The maximum quantum yield for primary photochemistry (Fv/Fm) performance index absorption basis (PIABS) showed same change pattern as response to treatment, indicating photosystemII (PSII) function enhanced significantly However, decreasing carotenoid content, enery flux electron through PSII reaction centers (RCs) with increasing concentration all experimental concentrations exerts adverse effect pigment other than photosynthetic physiology can not be indicated Fv/Fm or PIABS. © 2011 Friends Science Publishers
