摘要: Regarding the constantly increasing number of people in desperate need an organ worldwide, gap between supply and demand can be called one major challenges area modern medicine. Investigating actual societal handling problem, two strategies identified. First, large-scale campaigns initiated sponsored by Ministries Health conducted health insurance companies private institutions, e. g. German Organ Transplantation Foundation, are undertaken order to increase public’s willingness donate. While this strategy reactive, second focuses on aspect prevention. Therefore, biopolitical applied so as enable population live a healthier life avoid pathogenic factors like smoking, obesity hypertension. first policy aims at organs, targets reducing demand. Even though it is not broadly recognized public sphere, transplantation medicine, from start, has discussed investigated third : xenotransplantation. vision providing almost endless organs breeding animals for purposes nourishes medical hope intensifies research efforts, xenotransplantation still faces some severe problems, arising rejection cells danger cross-species infections. Nevertheless, remarkable progress been made last decades, allowing put back agenda possible solutions shortage .
