摘要: To determine whether differential levels of anxiety and recall occur during vicarious modeling or self-observation, six counselor trainees were shown five videotaped segments counselor-client interactions—two a different client three themselves counseling (one which was viewed in the presence trainees' supervising professor). Anxiety measured by self-reports hand temperature assessed several questions regarding verbal nonverbal behaviors demonstrated each segment. Although significant negative correlation found between physiological measure (ρ = –.90), no differences revealed amount relative to other-model versus self-observation. Trainees recalled significantly greater observation than self-observation conditions, whereas reverse for behaviors. Additionally, professor effected dramatic increase decrease recall.
