摘要: Banded Iron Formations (BIFs) were formed by contemporaneous events of active sediments supply and the venting a hydrothermal fluid source at Mid-Ocean-Ridge. BIFs within Ntem Complex northern edge Congo Craton are intercalated with metasandstones siltstones. SHRIMP U-Pb analysis on detrital zircons obtained from these metasediments gave variable ages over 3000 Ma to 1000 maximum age deposition clustered around 1200 peak 1800 Ma. This range suggested that sub-basin was opened sometime in Archean remained up till Neoproterozoic. Zircons have provenance linked charnockitic suite high-K granites Complex. The Paleoproterozoic attributed clastic inputs neigbouring Nyong Series west Also Proterozoic could probably be explained globally recognized intense crust-forming processes Early time. younger Neoproterozoic is tied various lithologies mobile belts Adamawa-Yade massifs correlates sedimentation Yaounde, Lom Poli series. comparable those Amazonian provide evidence Pre-Gondwana assemblage S?o Francisco Cratons.
