摘要: Five 28- to 33-d experiments involving 460 crossbred pigs weaned at 28 +/- 2 d of age (initial weight, 6.7 8.1 kg) were conducted determine the effects feeding high dietary levels Cu sulfate (CuSO4) or oxide (CuO) on rate and efficiency gain liver stores weanling pigs. The housed in groups five six/pen fed a fortified, unmedicated, corn-soybean meal-dried whey basal diet (1.1% lysine, 30 ppm Cu). In Exp. 1 2, (eight replicates) plus 125 250 from CuSO4 CuO for d. 3 4, four replications same diets as two additional (500 CuO). 5, 0, 125, 250, 375 500 evaluated using replications. At end each experiment, one pig pen was collected analysis. Overall, improved (P less than .01) by CuSO4, with level being about 75% effective stimulating growth ppm. Performance not different controls when highest ppm) (from CuSO4) fed. Liver increased 10- 70-fold 550 included feed.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT WORDS)
