摘要: Sedimentological, palynological, clay mineralogical and carbon isotope studies were carried out on the Triassic/Jurassic (T/J) boundary interval in Nw Tethyan realm. The analyses are based two sections Slovakian Tatra Mountains (western Carpathians): Siroký Žľab section Meďodoly Valley furkaska above the Juraňova Valley. Clay analysis suggests an increasing intensity of chemical weathering hinterland due to humidity. palynological data do not allow inference a major T/J mass extinction event. observed striking increase spores points instead sudden climatic change, interpreted as a result distant volcanic activity associated with onset rifting Pangea. δ 13 C org excursion across the T/J follows globally documented perturbation cycle during this period. it may be used for more precise regional global correlation.
