摘要: Calendula suffruticosa subsp. algarbiensis (Boiss.) Nyman is very common on the Portuguese coast, but it has only recently begun to be studied chemically and belongs a genus of difficult taxonomic classification. To improve knowledge chemical variability this taxon evaluate possible use tool for taxonomical purposes, aim work was determine extent variation between individuals collected in same geographic region, compare with samples mixing fragments several each (populations) from different local environments. Overall, hexane extract analysis by GC/MS allowed identify 42 compounds, eight fatty acids, 24 terpenoids, three alcohols, five alkanes, two pollutants. Greater differences were found individuals, grown than population regions. Additionally, 25 phytochemicals identified first time may used classification, even distinguish subspecies C. suffruticosa. Furthermore, plants near urban areas accumulated pollutants, indicating importance controlling environmental conditions when cultivation human consumption.
