摘要: The present PET study investigates the role of prosodic clues (pitch, pause) in processing oral speech syntactic structure. stimuli used were syntactically simple sentences and with different syntagmatic segmentation. They presented binaurally to twelve right-handed, musically untrained native Russian speakers. One condition reflected automatic perceptual processing, other understanding meaning. Significantly increased brain responses occurred right inferior posterior frontal region (BA 44, 45,9) cerebellum (medio-inferior area) second condition. results further support notion that auditory comprehension is not restricted left hemisphere. underlying mechanisms respective hemisphere structures during are discussed.
