摘要: Abstract The hydromineral and metabolic actions of thyroid hormone on osmotic acclimation in fish is less understood. We, therefore, studied the short-term action triiodothyronine (T 3 ), potent hormone, distribution function gill mitochondria-rich (MR) cells whole body regulations air-breathing ( Anabas testudineus ) adapted to either freshwater (FW) or acclimated seawater (SA; 30 g L −1 ). As expected, 24 h T injection (100 ng g elevated P but classically reduced 4 . higher Na + , K -ATPase immunoreactivity varied pattern MR gills -treated FW SA fish, suggest an cell migration, though density these remained unchanged after treatment. ouabain–sensitive activity, a measure competence, showed increases administration, inhibited glucose -driven actions. Our data identify as target for it promotes spatial both fresh water seawater. results besides confirming support hypothesis that differential may be due direct influence ambient salinity, major environmental determinant alters strategies fish.
